is a special interest group of the South African Heart Association dedicated to the promotion of all forms of imaging of the heart that would enhance the care of the patient with cardiovascular disease.
Membership: All individuals who have any interest in cardiac imaging are invited to join CISSA. This would include cardiac technologists, ultrasonographers, physicians and cardiologists. There is no additional fee payable beyond the SA Heart Association fee. To become a member of CISSA you need to be a member of SA Heart - application forms are available for download. Please indicate on this form that you want to be a member of CISSA.
Benefits: These include access to review articles, interesting cases, ability to discuss cases with experts and be kept abreast of local and international imaging meetings. In the longer term it is intended to provide the opportunity to obtain CME points and accreditation in cardiac imaging.
