Paediatric Cardiac Society of South Africa - 2004 Annual Report

Activities of the Paediatric Cardiac Society during the last year:

1. Drs Harrisberg and Lawrenson assumed responsibilty for the organisation of the Paediatric Component of the SA Heart meeting in Durban.
   
2. Drs Harrisberg, Pribut and Lawrenson have contributed to the paediatric component of the SA Cath Lab registry by attending meetings and working on the structure of the database.
   
3. Drs Harrisberg, Lawrenson, Cilliers and Takawira have attended 2 meetings with the College of Medicine together with the adult cardiology representatives to lobby the College to approach the HPCSA to approve the 3 year training period.
   
4. Dr Harrisberg has attended a meeting of the PPC concerning remuneration for Paediatric Cardiology services in the private sector.
